I have completed a BSc and MSc in Statistics from the university of Rajshahi, Bangladesh and an MPH degree from the University of Umea, Sweden. I have been involved in epidemiological study design, data collection and analysis, monitoring and evaluation of public health interventions for the last 20 years. Several articles and scientific reports have been published under his principal and co-authorship.

I am involved in the INDEPTH strategic planning of 48 HDSS sites for future direction on data collection, management and sharing. In addition, I am a part of ISHARE that plans to make the data collected through HDSS site available for different stakeholders. With INDEPTH network I am working with vaccine group to look at the non-specific effects of routine vaccination on child survival in in six countries of Africa and Asia. I oversee the Chakaria HDSS of icddr,b. I lead survey and research teams, and monitoring and quality control teams in HSPSD . I am working with Government of Bangladesh, Brac, Future Health Systems consortium of eight countries. I have been Involved in desigining the cuurent web-basedÂ micro health insuranceÂ scheme run by ICDDR,B in Chakaria.Â
