International Conference on Data for Decision (D4D) in Health

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is going to host an international conference on ‘Data for Decision (D4D) in Health’ with the support from European Union, icddr,b, UNICEF, UNFPA, USAID, Vital Strategy of Bloomberg Philanthropies, private sector and other development agencies. The event will be held from 1st to 3rd April, 2017 in Le Meridien Hotel, Dhaka. Mr. Mohammed Nasim, MP, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare will grace the closing session followed by gala dinner as Chief Guest.  Mr. Zahid Maleque, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has kindly agreed to attend the inauguration session as Chief Guest. Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Honourable State Minister, ICT Division will attend the inauguration session as Special Guest. The event will be chaired by Professor Abul Kalam Azad, Director General of Health Services.

The first two-day of the event will be a high profile seminar involving in total 200 people and will focus on an overview of global and regional progress to date in strengthening Health Management Information System. The third day will focus on field visit in Dhaka and neighboring districts consecutively. There will be a marketplace to promote best practices in Health Information Systems and e-Health solutions.
