I am interested in studying zoonotic diseases among domestic and wild animals and humans. Currently I am conducting a study where we are trying to understand the practices of mobile poultry vendors and their risks for avian influenza in Bangladesh. From 2009-2012, I conducted a study to look for avian influenza among resident and migratory wild birds of Bangladesh. From 2009-2013, I was involved in a study to find out the role of bats in the epidemiology of Nipah virus in Bangladesh.
