As an Assistant Scientist under the Nutrition and Clinical Sciences Division I work in the icddr,b hospital providing care to patients at the hospital. My research on the health and nutrition of children younger than 5 years old admitted to the icddr,b hospital during and before the Covid-19 pandemic in Bangladesh was published as a bulletin of WHO. Previously I worked as a clinical fellow and medical officer at the icddr,b hospital. I have also been involved in clinical research on children suffering from malnutrition.
Why I work at icddrb:
I made a decision to work at icddr,b after I completed my pediatrics training here as I enjoyed the work environment. With the chance of being involved in clinical research along with providing medical services under the guidance of world renowned scientists, I understood that there could be no better place to start and continue my career.
Future Plans:
I want to continue working in the clinical field and in clinical research.

Involved in several clinical researches, like probiotic and prebiotic supplementation in severely malnourished infants, use of improvised formulation of zinc tablet in acute watery diarrhea, antibiotics for children with diarrhea, etc. Interested to work in the area of management and prevention of malnutrition and infectious diseases of children.
