I am interested in maternal and newborn health, especially in the areas of health service delivery with innovations of science and technology. Currently I am involved in several projects aiming to reduce prevalence of preterm and low-birth-weight newborns and develop a medical device for preterm and low-birth-weight newborns management in Bangladesh.

l Institute of Health (NIH) research sub-award through University of Southern California, USA for USD 99,000 to do a study titled “Investigate the impact of biomass fuel use for cooking on adverse pregnancy outcomes and infant respiratory disease among at risk women and infants in Bangladesh” (2015-2018).
Received Sweden International Development Agency (SIDA) Fund research award for USD 54,000 to do a study titled "Feasibility and acceptability of a newly developed chemical warming padded jacket for thermal management of preterm births: an explorative research in Bangladesh".

Received Maternal Health Task Force Innovation Fund research award for USD 40,000 to do a study titled "Health Service Providers (HSP) Club: a platform of knowledge exchange among the maternal and neonatal health (MNH) service providers to improve the quality of MNH care services at sub-district level".

Received Grand Challenge Canada: Rising Stars in Global Health research award for CAD 113,000 to do a study titled "Simple and safe 100-dollar-kitchen" to prevent adverse pregnancy outcomes in a rural area in Bangladesh: A cluster randomized controlled trial".
